Rutgers University To Align with New Jersey’s Medical Schools? Seems Like It!

In a recent article that was posted northjersey.com the idea of Rutgers University expanding and taking control of most of the medical schools in New Jersey is ever prevalent.  This means that students who attend Rutgers may not have to go out of their alma mater to go to med school.

This deal will yield many new opportunities for the students at Rutgers campus’.  Having these new assets will also make the Rutgers University name worth about $5,000,000,000.00.  Yes, that’s right, 5 BILLION dollars.

Image

The school’s popularity is already obvious, as the New Brunswick campus has 31,000+ students enrolled as of now.  With the addition of these opportunities and advances, the school’s enrollment is estimated to raise another 6,400 students per year.  Medical School and Rutgers University.  The Newark and Camden campus’ will not be left out in the dust as well.  One more reason to love New Jersey and it’s ever growing culture and love for education.

Looking To Rent An Apartment? Here Are Some Tips That May Help In The Long Run!

As the popularity of renting grows the inventory on places TO rent goes down.  This obvious assertion is something most people understand as supply and demand.  Whether you are a college student looking for a place for the next year of school, a family looking to re-locate or an elderly couple who just need a smaller place to be, renting an apartment seems like a golden opportunity.

Opportunities sometimes have complications, as we all know.  Some things that should be noted other than the obvious “what neighborhood is the place in” are:
– Old Windows
– Building Maintenance issues such as how long a faucet would take to have hot water
– Peeling Paint (specially if the building is old due to Lead factors that can cause health issues)
– Internet or Cable access

There are many more things that one should consider when renting an apartment, and keeping in mind the things suggested in THIS ARTICLE will help you to decide if it is right for you or not.  Your dream apartment could be a dream, or a disaster in disguise.

Remember The Cassette Tape? Those Things MAY Be The Next Big Data Device!!

Bloomfield, Essex County. . .World.  Check this out!!

Most of us remember what a Cassette tape is, or having a VHS player for watching movies right…Right?  The fact of the matter is, that with DVD, Blu-Ray and iPods, these technologies have seemed to all but die out.

Or so we think!

Image

Research that has been going on in Switzerland has produced a cassette storage device that is 10cm X 10cm X 2cm that holds up to 35 TERABYTES of data.  Think about it.  1 gigabyte of data = 1/1000 of a Terabyte.  This smaller-than-a-stamp CASSETTE tape holds 35,000 gigabytes of data!!!

Who said the Cassette tape was dead??

Early Snow Storm? Bloomfield and Essex County!

Yesterday’s Nor-Easter storm that brought some snow to New Jersey seemed much more powerful than it was.  In an article on Northjersey.com Meteorologist Dan Hofmann was quoted as stating “What makes the storm significant is that it came in the wake of Hurricane Sandy,” Hofmann said. “While it is historic in that sense, this storm was more of a footnote to Sandy.” (northjersey.com)

Image

Even though the storm was early in the season, it was “not unprecedented” Hofmann said.
Bringing school delays, some power outages and wet snow, this storm was your typical winter overnight snow storm with snow totals ranging from 3 inches to 7 inches, depending on the area.
“Some snowfall totals, according to the National Weather Service:

Ridgefield: 7.5″

Rutherford: 5.0″

Ridgewood: 4.8″

Paramus: 4.0″

River Vale: 3.0″

Clifton: 4.5″

Bloomingdale: 4.3″

West Milford: 3.5″

Wayne: 3.0″ “
(Totals taken from northjersey.com article)

We hope that everyone is safe, healthy and warm after these storms and our best goes out to those who still have no power.
Bloomfield, New Jersey, has been a wonderful home for our business and the surrounding area is beautiful with the snow that has coated it’s grass and foliage!
